It’s fair to say that brown clothing has taken this winter by a storm! It’s nothing new to have warm neutrals be the go-to shades in winter, but this year we have swapped our love of beige and camel colours for chocolate brown everything! Head to toe, my Pinterest if flooded with monochromatic brown fits, as I’m sure yours is too. Brown hoodies, brown trousers, brown nail art and even brown cats have become the next best thing, and I’m all here for it!
If you follow me on Insta then you’ll have most likely seen my joy of doing an elevator shoot where I debuted my brown faux leather trousers. They are the Chocolate Kick Flare Faux Leather Leggings from PrettyLittleThing and I couldn’t be more in love with them. I’d been through a process of ordering and returning multiple similar pairs from different sites as until these; I couldn’t find a pair that fit nicely. They’re a legging fit as opposed to trousers so have a stretchy waist band which I much prefer for comfort purposes, yet they have the high quality and thick material you’d expect from a pair of trousers. For reference, I sized up to be on the safe side as I didn’t want a “Ross from Friends” moment and thankfully I didn’t, as these were perfect!
Alongside the trousers, I picked up this Oakland graphic sweatshirt from Missguided on ASOS in a size Medium. I’ve seen multiple fashion bloggers on Instagram rocking these graphic “place name sweaters” as I call them, and figured this Oakland one would pair nicely with pretty much any bottoms or jeans. It’s lovely and thick with a fleece lining so is also perfect for layering!
I really did go all out for this shoot as I also picked up a new pair of white chunky trainers from ASOS to complete the outfit. Truthfully, I never love to splurge on shoes as I often end up wrecking them some way or another, so figured these ASOS Design Divine chunky white trainers would be perfect for just £25! They look very similar to the Adidas White Ozweego trainers except are more than half the price, so the guilt of getting them dirty will be a lot less. I came away that day blister free and comfy so would definitely rate these trainers. They also do them in black if that is more your style!
I’d love to know if you have been buying any brown clothing items or if you’ve done any photoshoots in elevators?
