Once again, it’s the time of year where cosy, woolly jumpers appear back on shelves and the days and leaves become crisper. I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t already feeling autumnal due to the darker nights and colder weather, and I may have already placed my first Halloween order. (For blog purposes of course!) With autumn just around the corner I’m beginning the seasonal transition by welcoming back the berry reds and golden eyes to my makeup bag.

To prep my lips for the excessive wear of liquid lipsticks, I’ve been applying an old favourite, the Fresh Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment in Rosé. It’s not overly tinted but still gives a soft, red sheen to the lips. This pairs perfectly with my new favourite berry red, the Stila Stay All day Liquid Lipstick in Bacca. For days where I’m feeling a little extra with my lip colour I know I’ll be reaching for this, but if not, I’m a big lover of the Makeup Revolution lip kit in the shade Reign as my everyday nude.

Alike many others, I’ve also been reaching for all the burnt reds and orange shades for my eyes. I’ve built up quite a collection of single pans, most of which resemble shades from the Urban Decay Naked Heat palette. A few of my most reached shades are NYX hot singles in the shades LOL, HARLEQUIN & CUPCAKE.
I’ve also popped the Models Own cream eyeshadow pot in to my makeup bag, as they are one of the easiest things to use on days where I don’t have much time but still want that golden glow.

To carry on the glowing skin look in to Autumn I’ve been testing out and loving the Technic highlighting stick in the shade. It creates the perfect base for my powder highlighter to go on top of which I’ve been applying with the PS…Pro fan brush. Considering how little I paid for this brush, I’m very impressed with how well it picks up and applies my highlighter.

Lastly, moving on to my hands, something I don’t really take much care of until the cold weather kicks in. I’ve been applying the Flutter Hand cream, which can be found for a ridiculously affordable price in Superdrug. Its scent isn’t overly strong and it looks a bit like the Glossier cloud paints, which I love!
I’ve also been making the extra effort to paint my nails, something I want to continue to do in to autumn. Miss Sporty has a beautiful array of seasonal shades right now, I picked up a simple nude which I have on right now as I type and also a glittery top coat as no collection is complete without one of these!

I’d love to know what products you are adding to your collection for autumn.

I love transitioning from Summer to Autumn. I tend to reach for orange and red eye shadows in Autumn (which are my favourite!). I’ve been using the matte lip paints from Tarte and am absolutely loving them.
