A 5 minute makeup look has quickly adapted in to my daily routine. It’s summer, so not only are the days warmer but I’ve had busy mornings which usually require minimal makeup. I have to admit that my skin has benefitted from wearing little to no makeup almost everyday, and I’m happily supporting the bare-faced look!

So here I’ve compiled the products I’ve been using for a fresh, minimal makeup look that anyone can achieve in 5 minutes.

To create the best possible canvas I’ve been starting by applying moisturiser and priming my eyes with the Superdrug Vitamin E Eye Cream. This is a new product to my collection but I’ve found it to be an amazing dupe, if not better than The Body Shop’s version. And, it’s only a third of the price!

There’s no surprise here that I’ve then been going in with The Body Shop All-In-One BB cream. What can I say? I do love a good BB cream. The more you work this one in to your skin the more coverage/colour you achieve so you can always choose the look you are going for with this one.

To finish up my base in terms of cream products I’m never without my Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. You can always tell you love a concealer when all the writing has been rubbed of the tube from all the many uses. If you are after bright under-eyes then this one’s for you.

Then to keep that in place throughout the day I’ve been setting my under-eyes and  T zone with the L’oreal true match powder. I’ve often found that with dry skin, powder usually doesn’t sit well on my face but I truly can’t fault this one!

It’s now that I’ll bring a wash of colour and glow back to my face with either a bronzer or blusher. (Or I’ll use both if I’m doing good for time) I’ve really been a blusher girl recently and one I’ve been particularly loving for that ‘healthy glow’ is another product from The Body Shop: the Baked-To-Last Blush. The Pan includes 2 shades which I’ll usually just swirl together and pop to my cheeks.

In terms of eyes if I’m really in a rush I’ll just lightly apply whichever blush/bronzer shade I used on my cheeks to my eyes. Warm toned bronzers are great for adding depth to your eyes and will especially make blue eyes pop. It’s also now that I’d apply mascara, although I forgot to include one in my photos.

Finally, and normally as I’m rushing out the door, I’ll apply usually any lip product I have to hand. Recently, I’ve been constantly applying the Ted Baker lip balm in Blueberry as my lips are really feeling the affects from so many liquid lipsticks.

And that’s mostly all I’d do if I ever need a quick 5 minute makeup look, sometimes less, sometimes more but this is the basics of it. I’d love to know if you have any products that you always turn to when you are in a rush or if you have tried any of the above?

  7. I love the true match powder, it’s the best one I’ve used. I do love a quick make up look, a lot of the time I can’t be bothered to sit there for 20+ minutes doing my whole face incl eyebrows etc. I do really want to try out some of The Body Shop’s make up.

  8. The whole true match range is amazing! Would really recommend picking up some of The Body Shop makeup bits too when you can! x

  9. This sounds like a great combo of products! Usually, when I’m in a rush I put some powder on, mascara – which could be anyone I reach for, eyebrows using benefit products and a bit of lipstick usually Mac Velvet Teddy x

  10. Could u please explain to me what a bb cream is? Thanks x

  11. BB cream is shortened for Beauty Balm which is in between tinted moisturiser and foundation. They are usually lighter in formula and don’t provide as much coverage as foundation. They are great for everyday use. x
