My skincare routine is never something I’ve taken much pride in until recently. For a long time I was one for thinking applying just moisturiser would do the job. To some extent it does, but I’ve now formed a wider collection of products I can use to give my skin a proper bit of TLC. I found inspiration for this post earlier this week when I stumbled across last summers Marks & Spencer’s beauty box. If you are unfamiliar with what the box is, it’s essentially a box put together with lots of new skin care/beauty pieces to try out. It’s usually priced at around £15 but is worth at least £150, so it’s a great way to try out new products and save many pennies whilst doing so. The majority of these products are from the box but a few are staples I’ve been using and loving for a long time.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion

This is a product that if you’ve read my previous post, will know I only recently received. I was so up on the hype that I couldn’t wait to try it. Besides it’s strong scent which nobody warned me about I am pleased with it s results so far. It’s definitely a keeper this summer. If you don’t already have one of these in your collection i’d really reccomend picking one up!

NUXE Oils

2 more products I know I’ll be continuously using this summer are these. I’d spied them around M&S a lot but only tried them after I’d received them in a subscription box. The glittery gold one I mostly use on my legs and arms if I’m in a skirt or shorts and the other one I use on my face before applying makeup. It’s only something I’ve just started doing after being inspired by many Instagram videos!

The Body Shop Vitamin E Range

2 essentials in my skincare routine come from the body shop’s vitamin E range. I get very dry skin all year round, often from using different makeup products, and it’s only because of this range that I’m able to normalize my skin back to its usual balance. I use the Vitamin E moisturiser in morning and night, and the vitamin E eye cream before I apply any eye makeup. A little goes such a long way with both of these products, although I’m already on to my second tub of moisturiser as I love it that much!

Pure Hot Cloth Cleanser

This is something I couldn’t wait to try as it seems like such a great dupe for the Liz Earle one. I have tried so many cleansers and I can say that this is by far my favourite one. It’s very creamy with a not too strong scent. I’ve also never had any issues with it breaking me out which is forever a plus with new skincare items.

PUR correcting primer

This is yet again another product that arrived to my collection from the M&S beauty box. Truthfully, I do still reach for my Benefit porefessional over this, but its something I’m making a bigger effort to use more often as it’s very nourishing and keeps my makeup locked in place throughout the day.

Rodial Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic Tonic

Lastly but certainly not least is my new favourite facial mist. It will be no surprise that this also came in the M&S beauty box but it’s definitely something I will be repurchasing. It makes my skin feel incredibly fresh and smooth within an instant of spraying, which is perfect for tired eyes in the morning! It also includes Rose Water and Vitamin B3 so it’s the perfect recipe for all skin types, but especially blemish/acne prone skin.

So that’s probably as exciting as it gets when it comes to my skin care products. I’d love to know what your staples are and your thoughts on the M&S beauty boxes!

  7. Thank you so much, I always love hearing what skin care products others are enjoying too! I’d thoroughly checking out the M&S beauty box next time it’s out, and I also would consider repurchasing the Mario Badescu drying lotion when I’ve run out, although that will be a long time away as little goes such a long way! x0

  8. I have a somewhat bad skincare regime myself, I never use toners or cleanses but I do moisturise and use eye and face serums daily. I honestly don’t understand the need for toners and cleansers.. Does this make me a bad blogger? haha I do use them if I’ve been wearing make up as a way to make sure I’ve removed all the grim but otherwise the bottles just pile up in my room!
