Wherever I go I’m always on the lookout for new and exciting makeup dupes, a similar more affordable version of a product. Looking out for dupes is a great way to discover and try out new brands whilst saving money. What’s not to love?

In this post I’ve gathered up some of my favourite, closest dupes to share from highlighter to primer, alongside my review on each product.

MUA Undress Your Skin Highlighting powder – iridescent gold dupe for: The Balm Mary Lou Manizer. I have found this dupe to be one of the closest matches out of these all. The consistency as well as colour pay off are almost identical! All I can fault is the length of wear: The Balm Mary Lou Manizer lasts slightly longer however I was expecting so as it was around 6x more expensive.

Smooch Cosmetics Blusher Duo Sweet Cheeks dupe for: Left: Mac Mineralize Blush in Cosmic Force, Right: Nars blush in Super Orgasm. The left, cooler toned blush appears very nice quality for its price giving off a natural, healthy glow. Equally does the warmer toned pink blush. These match almost identically, Nars Super Orgasm shows up just slightly more shimmery on the cheeks.

W7 in the Nude Eyeshadow Palette dupe for: Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette. Here again is another very close dupe. Surprisingly, the colour match is almost spot on between these 2 palettes yet a massive price difference. However, the pigmentation of the W7 palette let me down slightly, to match the Urban Decay Intensity it takes quite a bit more product.

NYX Soft Matte lip Cream Abu Dhabi dupe for: Mac velvet Teddy. The colour of these 2 lip products are very similar although, NYX Abu Dhabi does have a more matte finish and I found more drying on the lips. Overall, its a good match that is worth the saving. I haven’t tested it myself, but it has also appeared to be a close dupe for Kylie Cosmetics Dolce K.

Maybeline Colour Sensational Lipstick in Sweet Pink dupe for: Mac Frost Lipstick in Fabby. I was surprised to see such a close swatch between these two, as I didn’t think another brand, especially a much less expensive one, could match such a gold, pearly sheen. It’s a beautiful shimmery shade perfect for most occasions! It’s definitely worth the save if you don’t want to splash out.

W7 Prime Magic Camera Ready for anti Redness dupe for: NYX Cosmetics Studio Perfect Primer. Another close match by W7 is this one, NYX isn’t high end but there is still a saving of around £7. Both formulas are very silky and blend well, but the NYX one cancels out redness better. However, if you were just starting out with primer I’d recommend the Technic one.

Technic High Lights dupe for: Benefit ‘High Beam’ Highlighter. These products aren’t just similar products in formula, the packaging of these two products is very alike, and that’s actually why it caught my eye. I can’t fault the job Technic has done to match these products so well. If you are looking to spend less but receive more then I’d certainly recommend this product.
